My current body of work is driven by my fascination with the Theory of Everything (TOE theory), where life is viewed from a holistic perspective and proposes that all things are interconnected. I feel humans navigate through time and space in a fluid motion, bumping into each other like molecules. I am intrigued with how events like these have shaped my own life path. I question how my life would be different now if certain moments had not occurred, and the origin of this energy. What some may call mere coincidences in life, I believe happen for a reason. My work explores the continual dialogue humans have with one another on physical and metaphysical levels, and the system of actions and reactions that balance this communication.

I create experiments of action and reaction by manipulating ingredients harvested from my kitchen cupboard. I use containers filled with vegetable oil and water to simulate the fluid system of energy I believe we live in. As I physically manipulate the fluids, I build layers of information through the addition of food coloring, objects and hand-drawn imagery. I document this unpredictable dialogue between the medium and myself digitally as energy is exchanged.

The experiment has a visual life of its own, from its birth as simple pure color and abstract form

to its death as a dark muted palette. I document an instant, choosing the most dynamic, complex and alive moments of the process. It is at this specific time that the image transcends beyond

its origin and acts as a catalyst for broader interpretation. Synergy is created, no longer bound

by the constraints of the container. This symbolizes the moment when one realizes how a series

of events happen for a larger purpose. I use light in my work to reveal these processes, representing a new level of clarity.

The role of my audience plays a large part in the interpretation of my work. My prints often

become inkblot tests, providing an exciting wide range of responses. In terms of abstraction,

I am fascinated by the human impulse to find something recognizable in my work. For me,

the majority of these images become environments I can get lost in. My interpretation can shift from microcosmic slides of biological matter to macro images of the cosmos. Often figurative elements are revealed, while others directly explore the ideas of energy and my physical

presence in the work.
